A little bit about me..

I’m Grace, a born and bred Kentuckian who found herself in Nashville, Tennessee after graduating physician associate schooling. I love spending too much time on Pinterest, true crime documentaries, getting my nails done the same shade of baby pink, and a good bourbon and coke. 

Our approach to planning the wedding was…

Creating a detailed-centric, warm, ethereal day that was completely ours. The majority of our wedding planning was completed on the front end of our engagement, and I can’t recommend that enough! When people would ask me how I was doing in the “thick” of wedding planning, I was already done for the most part! Being able to travel, relax, and enjoy each other during the last few months of our engagement was a huge priority to me.

Irish goodbyed our own wedding! Being surrounded by people all day, I was so thankful to sneak off and have a private last dance at our ceremony site before leaving. This allowed us to silence out the noise of everyone else and close the most important day of our lives how WE wanted to- I’d do it a thousand times over!

The most unexpected part of the day was…

All of the ladybugs surrounding me the entire day! My childhood nickname is Doodlebug, and I like to think that the presence of all the ladybugs was due to my grandfather, who had passed prior to my wedding day. I was always Doodlebug to him, even on my wedding day. 

When I look back now, I feel…

Immensely loved and full of gratitude! That entire day was the closest I’ve felt to heaven on earth.

My advice to new brides is…

Your day is about you and your future spouse- no one else. The sooner you accept it, the more fun planning will be!

My Homebodii moment was special because…

I wore the Helena Lace Robe and Sian Slip. I wanted my getting ready look to be romantic and regal, but also feel like myself. Wearing these pieces surrounded by the girls who have loved me throughout all the stages of life made my wedding morning feel so cinematic and sentimental.
